Responsibilities & Context

  • Prepare and maintain records for cash and bank transactions, receipts, payment statements, and Management Information Systems (MIS), among other financial documents.
  • Provide various reports to management as required
  • Oversee the operational and financial activities of the Accounts Department
  • Liaise with banks and other financial institutions on behalf of the company
  • Calculate Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Value Deducted at Source (VDS) and determine the net payable for advance bills of both parties and employees
  • Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements
  • Reconcile accounts, reimbursements, trade receivables, trade payables, tax, VAT, payroll, and customs/excise duties
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management
  • Efficiently manage and record daily financial activities, including sales, payments, expenses, and employee compensation in accounting software
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation and timely updates to the master cash book in the accounting software
  • Conduct performance analysis of projects and revenue centers
  • Prepare daily Receipts and Payments Statements
  • Responsibilities are subject to change based on management’s requirements and decisions
  • Proficiency in Tally Accounting Software will be considered advantageous
  • Prior experience in the apparel sector is highly encouraged
