• Oversee quality standards using the 5M framework (Material, Machinery, Method, Labor, Environment) and implement lean management tools (e.g., Completion Time, Cycle Times).
• Centralize and maintain updated quality specifications to ensure consistency.
• Address internal customer complaints (including external audits) by implementing effective improvement processes.
• Monitor and enforce corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality issues at Gildan.
• Ensure compliance with all defined quality procedures and standards.
• Establish quality levels with defined tolerances and implement statistical process control to maximize resource efficiency while minimizing process costs.
• Leadership - Middle Management: Plan, manage, and optimize resources; motivate and develop middle management teams to achieve organizational objectives.
• Lead the Quality Management System across facilities and contractors to ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing the Cost of Poor Quality.
• Oversee compliance with the Quality Certification Program across all applicable quality positions in the organization’s plants.
• Provide quality tools, identify training needs, and enhance communication and understanding across the quality leadership team to ensure stability and consistency in quality performance.
• Actively participate in quality improvement meetings with suppliers, contractors, and both internal and external customers.
• Foster a culture of quality by motivating employees and promoting engagement.
• Encourage and facilitate high-performing teamwork focused on achieving results through collaborative strategies.
