Requirements

Education


  • PHD/Doctorate, Postgraduate in Geography, Environmental Science, and Development Studies or in any subject of Social Science disciplines.

Experience


  • 5 Year

Additional Requirements


  • Proven experience in program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of climate change resilience and justice, gender dynamics, and rights-based project approaches.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in networking, building linkages, and collaborating with union, upazila, and district-level administrations, as well as national-level networks and like-minded organizations.
  • Must possess a valid motorbike driving license.
  • Willingness to stay at the upazila level with frequent visits to remote areas.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding policies, including child protection, gender equality, and anti-sexual harassment standards.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Implement project activities in the assigned upazilas, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Mobilize and engage community members, focusing on marginalized groups, including women, youth, indigenous peoples, and people with disabilities.
  • Establish and coordinate Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to enhance community participation and leadership.
  • Facilitate regular community meetings and training sessions with CSOs, student forums, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize awareness campaigns on climate change, environmental protection, human rights, and gender equality.
  • Support climate-resilient innovative initiatives and coordinate rapid response mechanisms for disaster management.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with government agencies, service providers, and local authorities.
  • Monitor project progress, document activities, and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups in all project activities.
  • Adhere to and promote safeguarding policies, including child protection, gender equality, and anti-sexual harassment standards.
  • Regularly visit project sites and stay engaged with local communities to ensure effective implementation.
  • Contribute to building partnerships with stakeholders at the union, upazila, and district levels.
