Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely account closures and perform reconciliations for bank accounts, loan portfolios, and the general ledger.
Review branch accounts and verify proper documentation.
2. Cash Flow & Fund Management
Monitor daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for branch operations.
Assist in managing fund disbursement schedules, requests, and repayments.
Coordinate with banks and financial partners for transactions, deposits, and settlements.
3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Track budget utilization and provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.
Conduct financial analysis of products, branches, and operational efficiency.
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements from bodies such as MRA, Bangladesh Bank, NGO Affairs Bureau, and other relevant authorities.
Prepare and maintain documentation for internal, external, and donor audits.
Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal control systems.
5. MIS & Reporting
Maintain financial MIS and ensure timely submission of reports to management and regulators.
Monitor loan portfolio quality, PAR (Portfolio at Risk), provisioning, and delinquency trends.
Support accurate data management and integration between finance and loan management systems.
6. Team Coordination & Support
Provide guidance and supervision to branch accountants and finance staff.
Ensure consistent adherence to financial policies and procedures across all levels.
Support capacity-building initiatives for field and branch teams.
Microfinance-Specific Duties:
Prepare and submit monthly MRA reports.
Post reports in MRA software.
Serve as an expert in Microfin360 software across all components.
Calculate and post monthly LLP (Loan Loss Provision).
Create and post journal vouchers.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Calculate and open FDRs (Fixed Deposit Receipts).
Generate Profit & Loss reports.
Handle provisions, VAT, and tax-related tasks.
Verify loans and submit income tax documentation.
