Responsibilities & Context

Team Leadership and Operation Management:

  • Develop and lead the cutting team to ensure seamless operations in the cutting section.
Production Target Achievement:
  • Take proactive steps to meet production targets and provide timely feedback to the sewing line by adhering to the centralized planning schedule.
Quality and Standards Compliance:
  • Maintain 100% compliance with quality standards in all cutting operations and departmental processes.
Fabric Relaxation Management:
  • Ensure proper fabric relaxation as per fabric type and buyer requirements.
Timely Execution:
  • Oversee fabric laying, inspection, marking, and cutting operations to ensure timely and accurate execution.
Cutting Plans and Scheduling:
  • Prepare and manage monthly and weekly cutting plans, aligning with shipment schedules and centralized planning.
Waste Management:
  • Implement stringent controls to minimize cutting rejections and fabric waste for effective waste management.
Training and Efficiency Improvement:
  • Train team members as needed and implement measures to enhance their efficiency and productivity.
PP Meetings and Implementation:
  • Participate in pre-production (PP) meetings for each style/order and execute the specified cutting guidelines.
Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
  • Ensure smooth cutting operations by analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
Shortcutting and Quality Issues:
  • Immediately report any shortcutting to the concerned department, along with the reasons, and address any fabric quality issues by identifying and resolving root causes.
Collaboration with Departments:
  • Maintain active communication with Planning, Merchandising, Production, Quality, Dyeing, and Finishing departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.
SOP Compliance:
  • Strictly adhere to and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the cutting section.
Additional Tasks:
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
