• The Assistant Engineer (Electrical Maintenance) is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery within the facility. This role requires technical expertise in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance & Repairs:
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery and control systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
• Preventive Maintenance:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Installation & Upgrades:
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment.
• Recommend and implement system upgrades to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all electrical systems adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of electrical installations.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and incident reports.
• Provide regular updates to senior engineers and management on equipment status and maintenance plans.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other engineering teams to resolve multidisciplinary issues.
• Train and mentor junior technicians in best practices for electrical maintenance.
