Responsibilities & Context
Strategic Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead and support the development and execution of supply chain strategy aligned with company goals.
- Manage daily operations of the supply chain department, ensuring smooth coordination across procurement, logistics, production, and distribution.
- Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or efficiency.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Oversee supplier relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and delivery standards.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce risks.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance evaluations.
Inventory & Distribution Management:
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Oversee planning and execution of efficient distribution systems to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and improve warehousing and inventory processes.
Demand Planning & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to accurately forecast demand and adjust strategies.
- Use data and analytics to optimize the supply chain for profitability and customer satisfaction.
Logistics Management:
- Oversee transportation logistics, ensuring cost-effective and timely movement of goods.
- Implement process improvements in logistics to enhance efficiency.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
- Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on supply chain performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain teams to build a high-performing department.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and laws.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.
