Responsibilities & Context
- Drive cargo sales performance by developing account plans, growing key accounts, and achieving revenue, tonnage, and yield targets.
- Manage customer service delivery from booking to uplift and ensure timely service recovery for cargo customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, cargo agents, corporate customers, and GSA partners.
- Monitor GSA/agent performance through targets, forecasts, regular performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, market intelligence, and management updates.
- Coordinate with Operations, Load Planning, Revenue Management, Pricing, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure effective capacity and service delivery.
- Monitor cargo market trends, competitor activities, trade lanes, and commodity mix to identify business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales initiatives, promotions, and market development strategies to increase cargo revenue and market share.
- Establish and maintain effective systems for account management, sales pipeline, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial controls, documentation standards, and applicable cargo requirements.
- Support the resolution of cargo service disruptions, claims, and irregularities to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
