Offer initial counseling to employees encountering performance issues while ensuring fair and non-discriminatory treatment across all aspects of employment, including compensation, benefits, facilities, and welfare.
Manage daily HR functions in accordance with company policies and operational needs. Develop and enforce HR strategies, personnel policies, and procedures aligned with both factory-specific and group-wide HR standards.
Supervise core HR activities such as recruitment, succession planning, employee development, leave and attendance management, payroll, benefits, performance evaluation, and exit procedures to ensure seamless execution of HR processes.
Audit and review employee files, maternity records, and disciplinary records to identify any compliance gaps. Ensure adherence to national labor laws, buyer Codes of Conduct, and other regulatory or auditing requirements.
Design and update internal training programs while coordinating with external trainers and institutions to promote capacity development. Champion continuous learning initiatives for both supervisors and staff.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Bangladesh labor laws, factory regulations, and buyer-specific Codes of Conduct (e.g., IKEA, JYSK, H&M, Lidl, KiK), as well as global compliance standards such as BSCI, ISO, SEDEX, OEKO-TEX, LEED, GRS, and RCS. Handle all relevant audit preparations and follow-ups.
Contribute to the creation and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures based on applicable labor laws and local regulations.
Coordinate and conduct training programs related to compliance requirements.
Oversee recruitment, payroll processing, and training programs for factory staff and supervisory teams.
Address issues related to discipline, grievance handling, employee motivation, and welfare.
Develop and define job roles, Key Result Areas (KRAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align employee performance with organizational objectives.
Build and maintain effective relationships with both government and non-government agencies to support organizational efficiency and compliance.
Ensure timely updating of documentation and oversee legal matters. Provide daily HR and operational reports to the Unit Administrator and HR Manager.
