  • Experience in inventory management, with a focus on the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple divisions, with knowledge of regional demand variations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems, ordering processes, and supply chain coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards in Bangladesh.

Responsibilities & Context

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory management for pharmacy shops across various divisions in Bangladesh, ensuring proper stock levels for each location.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movements, product orders, and stock levels for all pharmacy shops.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure the integrity of the inventory system and minimize discrepancies.
  • Ensure that pharmacy shops are stocked with the right quantity of medicines and healthcare products in line with customer demand and seasonal requirements.
Order Management & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to manage and fulfill inventory orders for each division.
  • Track and manage order fulfillment processes to ensure timely deliveries and accurate product shipments.
  • Monitor lead times and delivery schedules, ensuring that orders are placed in advance to avoid stockouts.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve order-related issues and ensure the timely supply of required products.
Division-wise Stock Optimization:
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce overstocking or stock outs in each division.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels for each division, considering regional preferences and seasonal fluctuations in demand.
  • Ensure that inventory policies and best practices are consistently applied across all pharmacy shops.
Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics such as stock levels, order statuses, and product movement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers.
  • Ensure that all inventory documentation is compliant with GDHS's policies and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols related to inventory management in pharmacy operations.
  • Work with the quality control team to ensure that products meet the required quality standards and are within expiration dates.
  • Take corrective actions to address any discrepancies or quality issues with inventory.
