  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Textile Technology

Experience


  • 5 Year to 8 Year

Additional Requirements


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years in woven garment merchandising, with at least 2 years of experience handling NEXT buyers.
  • Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, washes, garment finishing, and printing techniques.
  • Understanding of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit), inspection processes, and compliance audits.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).Strong negotiation skills to handle buyers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP systems.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Independently manage NEXT buyers, ensuring smooth order execution and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships.
  • Oversee the entire order process from development to shipment, ensuring that timelines, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to develop and refine product samples, ensuring alignment with buyer specifications.
  • Analyze and prepare detailed cost sheets, negotiate prices, and assess production feasibility before confirming orders.
  • Coordinate with both local and international suppliers for fabrics, trims, and accessories, optimizing cost and quality.
  • Work with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure that all compliance requirements, technical approvals, lab tests, and shipment documentation are in place according to buyer specifications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve production, shipment, and communication challenges to maintain smooth operations.
  • Stay updated with global fashion trends, new fabrics, and production techniques to provide enhanced service and innovative solutions to buyers.
