Additional Requirements


  • Experience in Buying office and Factory is highly preferable.
  • Good product knowledge and sourcing process skill is a requisite.
  • Must have deep knowledge of all kind of fabrics & accessories.
  • Well versed in monitoring the knit Garments production.
  • Strong knowledge about yarn, fabric, Garment, washing, printing and embroidery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Factory orientation within the career time will be added advantage.
  • Result oriented and self driven with strong focus on deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Communicate effectively with buyers, factory personnel, and relevant departments within the company.
  • Manage product costing and ensure compliance with buyers’ processes and procedures throughout the order execution cycle.
  • Supervise product development and engage in price negotiations with buyers to reach mutually acceptable terms.
  • Oversee merchandisers in providing timely updates to buyers regarding production status, samples, lab dips, and related matters.
  • Monitor the approval process, pre-production activities, and delivery schedules to ensure alignment with buyer expectations.
  • Provide technical advice to the factory, production, and quality teams on fabric, production processes, and quality issues, acting as an efficient and experienced troubleshooter.
  • Ensure proper execution of orders in line with the planned Time and Action (T&A) calendar to guarantee on-time shipment with the correct quality and quantity.
  • Demonstrate the capability to develop and promote new business opportunities with prospective buyers.
  • Maintain strong relationships and networks with buyers.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and consistently meet targets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work directly with retailers or importers.
  • Visit factories as needed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
