  • B.Sc Engineering (Civil) degree from BUET, RUET, KUET, DUET, CUET, MIST only.

Additional Requirements


Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in civil engineering, specifically with land development, real estate, and housing companies.
  • At least 5 years of specialized experience in road development, drainage, sewerage, and infrastructure development under the supervision of senior professionals (e.g., General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Senior Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer) in a reputable housing company.
Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of land development processes, infrastructure planning, road construction, plot demarcation, and sand filling techniques.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, map operations, plotting, and ArcGIS software.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction practices, including preparation and management of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity).
Certifications and Memberships:
  • Membership with the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB).
  • Registered and enlisted with RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha).

Responsibilities & Context

  • Project Supervision: Oversee and manage ongoing project activities to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Material Quality Assurance: Coordinate material testing through recognized universities or institutions to meet required quality standards.
  • Project Execution: Implement all land development and civil structure maintenance activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of ancillary works.
  • Issue Resolution: Provide regular feedback to management on construction challenges and resolve issues following management guidelines.
  • Contractor Evaluation: Assess contractor performance and recommend suitable contractors for construction projects, monitoring their work for future engagements.
  • Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with the Procurement Department to source the best construction materials and ensure timely delivery for project completion.
  • Staff Development: Deliver on-the-job training to site engineers and project staff, and manage their performance effectively.
  • Team Coordination: Conduct regular meetings with project construction teams to ensure coordination, cooperation, and improved efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain close communication with government and non-government officials, particularly in engineering and related agencies, to facilitate project-related activities.
  • Billing Oversight: Supervise and ensure accurate and timely preparation and processing of contractor and departmental bills for office and residential buildings.
  • Staff Accommodation Planning: Assist management in planning office and residential accommodations for staff as required.
