Responsibilities & Context

Inspect, Repair, and Maintain: Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on various diesel and petrol engines. This includes adjusting equipment to repair or replace defective parts, diagnosing faults or malfunctions using testing equipment, and conducting cleaning and maintenance work.
 
Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues.
 
Fault Analysis: Analyze diagnostic test results to determine necessary repairs.
 
Engine and System Replacement: Replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems as needed.
 
Lighting Systems Inspection: Inspect and verify the functionality of vehicle lighting systems.
 
Test Driving: Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance and ensure issues have been resolved.
 
Preventative Maintenance: Carry out preventative maintenance on service trucks to prevent future issues.
 
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all serviced vehicles, including work performed and parts used.
 
Inspection Checklist Compliance: Adhere to inspection procedure checklists to ensure all tasks are completed thoroughly.
 
Parts Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of parts to ensure availability for repairs.
 
Shop Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workshop.
