Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 14 years of continuous experience in branch banking operations
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Corporate Branch Manager in a reputed commercial bank
  • Sound knowledge of Islamic Shariah-based banking will be preferred
  • Strong expertise in strategic business planning, customer relationship management, and recovery operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Corporate designation may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates

Responsibilities & Context

  • Lead and manage all branch operations within the assigned region in accordance with Islamic banking principles
  • Drive the strategic objectives of the Islamic banking division and ensure achievement of regional business targets
  • Develop and implement region-specific sales, marketing, and business growth strategies
  • Promote Islamic banking products and services to increase market awareness and customer engagement
  • Monitor regional market trends and identify new business opportunities for expansion
  • Supervise and support Branch Managers and Cluster Heads to achieve operational and performance goals
  • Ensure compliance with Shariah principles, banking regulations, and internal operational policies
  • Improve regional branch profitability, service quality, and operational efficiency
  • Conduct regular visits to cluster branches to review business performance, compliance, and risk management activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, institutions, and community stakeholders
  • Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery standards
  • Handle and resolve critical customer issues and escalations effectively
  • Coordinate with the Shariah Advisory Board or relevant department to ensure compliance reviews and guidance implementation
  • Promote employee awareness and training on Islamic banking practices and Shariah-compliant operations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional teams, including Branch Managers and operational staff
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and implement training and development plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, audit, and Shariah governance requirements
  • Address audit observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly
  • Monitor and manage credit, operational, and reputational risks across the region
