Must be willing to perform rotational and shifting duties, including night shifts
Sound knowledge of IT systems, networking basics, and computer operations
Familiarity with CCTV surveillance systems, monitoring software, and control room operations will be an advantage
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly during emergency situations
Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills
Responsible, disciplined, and capable of maintaining confidentiality and security protocols
Basic troubleshooting knowledge for CCTV and related IT equipment is preferred

Responsibilities & Context

USTC invites applications from energetic, responsible, and self-motivated candidates for the position of CCTV Surveillance Operator under prevailing organizational rules and policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, maintaining security protocols, and ensuring the smooth operation of CCTV and control room activities.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor all CCTV surveillance systems within the Control Centre efficiently while ensuring compliance with operational procedures and security standards
Report immediately to authorized personnel regarding any:
- Unusual activities
- Security breaches
- Policy violations
- Emergency situations
Maintain accurate logs and records of all security-related incidents and ensure timely escalation to the appropriate authorities
Ensure strict confidentiality, data privacy, and secure handling of all surveillance footage and control room operations
Conduct routine inspections to verify that all CCTV systems, cameras, and related equipment are functioning properly
Coordinate with relevant departments for troubleshooting and technical issue resolution
Communicate promptly with security teams and authorities during suspicious activities or confirmed incidents
Coordinate with the IT Department to ensure uninterrupted operation and connectivity of surveillance systems
Liaise with vendors regarding:
- CCTV installation
- Maintenance
- Technical support
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with strong situational awareness and rapid response capability
Adapt quickly to new systems, procedures, and operational requirements
Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management or authorized personnel as required
