The position is responsible for managing overall laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry and government standards, and leading a team of chemists in delivering accurate chemical testing and analysis. This role supports product development, ensures quality control, and contributes to innovation through research and development activities.
Laboratory Management:
Oversee daily laboratory functions, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and strict compliance with safety and regulatory protocols.
Chemical Formulation Compliance:
Prepare chemical product recipes in line with Bangladesh Standards and ensure compliance with all applicable government rules and regulations.
Testing Procedures Development:
Design and implement reliable testing methodologies for chemical analyses that comply with industry benchmarks and legal requirements.
Chemical Testing & Analysis:
Perform advanced chemical tests on raw materials, finished goods, and environmental samples using a range of analytical tools and technologies.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency in test results by enforcing quality control practices, including routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Data Interpretation & Reporting:
Analyze test results, interpret data sets, and compile detailed technical reports with recommendations for corrective or preventive actions.
Research & Innovation:
Stay current with emerging techniques and technologies in chemical analysis. Identify and apply innovative practices to improve operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and mentor laboratory staff. Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration while ensuring high team performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with departments such as R&D and Production to offer technical input, enhance product development, and ensure product quality and safety.
Regulatory Compliance:
Keep up-to-date with national and international laws, standards, and best practices for chemical safety and testing, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and manage laboratory budgets. Monitor expenses, and oversee procurement of necessary lab equipment and supplies.
Technology Integration:
Explore and implement new or improved formulation technologies aligned with project objectives and market needs.
