Requirements

Education


  • B.Sc Engineering (Civil) degree from reputed Engineering University, preferably from BUET, RUET, CUET.

Additional Requirements


  • At least 15 years of hands-on experience in Civil Engineering, specifically within a Real Estate and Housing Company.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in land development, road construction, plot demarcation, sand filling, and related areas.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, map operations, plotting, and ArcGIS.
  • Solid understanding of civil construction practices, as well as Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
  • Must be a member of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and enlisted with RAJUK (The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha).



Responsibilities & Context

  • Supervise and oversee the ongoing projects and construction works of the company.
  • Arrange for the testing of materials from recognized universities/institutions to ensure compliance with required quality standards.
  • Manage all activities related to land projects and the maintenance of civil structures to ensure the timely completion of ancillary works.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to senior management on construction-related issues and resolve them according to management guidelines.
  • Evaluate the performance of contractors, recommend suitable contractors for future engagements, and monitor their performance for ongoing and future projects.
  • Collaborate with the Purchase Department to source the best available construction materials from the market and ensure their timely delivery for the smooth progress of projects.
  • Provide on-the-job training to site engineers and project staff, and manage their performance effectively.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Project Construction Department teams to ensure proper coordination, improve work efficiency, and address any challenges.
  • Maintain close communication with both government and non-government officials, particularly from the engineering department and relevant agencies, to resolve project-related issues.
  • Supervise and ensure the timely preparation and payment of various contractor bills, as well as departmental bills for office/residential buildings.
  • Assist with the buying and selling of land or flats in accordance with management instructions.
  • Support management in planning accommodation arrangements for staff, both in office and residential settings.
