  • Cloud Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including data protection, access control, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring technical teams effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration between technical and business teams.
  • Preferred Certifications: Professional certifications in cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud are highly desirable.
 

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and Implement Cloud Strategy: Formulate and execute the organization’s cloud strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Design and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud environments (public, private, and hybrid) to guarantee scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead Cloud Migration Projects: Direct cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal business disruption while optimizing cloud performance.
  • Collaborate for Cloud Solutions: Work closely with IT and business teams to identify and implement cloud solutions that enhance productivity, drive efficiency, and foster innovation.
  • Select and Integrate Platforms: Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of cloud service providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or others, based on business needs.
  • Enforce Security Policies: Develop and enforce robust cloud security policies, ensuring compliance, data protection, and effective risk management practices.
  • Monitor and Maintain Performance: Continuously monitor cloud systems to ensure high availability, performance, and timely resolution of any operational issues.
  • Optimize Cloud Costs: Manage resource allocation efficiently to minimize costs while scaling cloud services to meet organizational demands.
  • Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning: Establish, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay Ahead of Cloud Trends: Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, providing strategic recommendations to enhance organizational cloud capabilities.
  • Lead and Mentor the Team: Guide and mentor the cloud computing team, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure Compliance and Governance: Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational governance policies related to cloud computing.
