Strong understanding and hands-on experience with export and import documentation, including EXP, IP, EP, CO, GSP, B/L, and other related commercial papers.
Solid knowledge of customs laws and import/export regulations, including customs audits, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with the customs bond department.
Proven experience in handling export/import operations via L/C and T/T, along with a good grasp of freight forwarding processes and global Incoterms.
Proficient in using computers, particularly MS Office applications, email, and internet browsing.
Must have a good command of the English language.
Strong communication skills are essential.
Skills
Maintaining knowledge & handling of export/import documentation including EXP, IP, EP, CO, GSP, B/L etc.
Ensuring compliance with customs law, customs regulations, and dealing with the customs bond department.
Handling trade terms (Incoterms), payments (L/C & T/T) and coordination with freight forwarders.
Communication & negotiation with external stakeholders (customs, shipping, banks, etc.) and internal stakeholders (production, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth export/import flow. Implicit in the documentation & export/import responsibilities.
