• Capture high-quality photos and videos of assigned projects, documenting various phases and activities at field locations.
• Frame shots and compose visually engaging photos/videos that align with the organization’s messaging and branding.
• Add video subtitles into a Word document, including timestamps.
• Utilize professional cameras, video equipment, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop).
• Edit photos and videos to enhance quality, incorporate branding elements, and ensure a polished, professional output.
• Convey compelling stories through visuals, ensuring photos and videos effectively represent the project’s impact and purpose.
• Ensure adherence to copyright laws, privacy considerations, and ethical standards when capturing and sharing media.
• Maintain organized digital media archives, including photos and videos.
• Media and Communication (20%)
• Create innovative, high-quality designs and produce publication materials, such as newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, stories, information packs, banners, billboards, posters, leaflets, and signboards for EEGP projects, ensuring timely distribution to stakeholders.
• Develop and distribute content for social media kits.
• Write and update content for the Islamic Relief Bangladesh website.
• Maintain an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, generating creative ideas to expand audience engagement and reach.
• Ensure consistent brand visibility by incorporating the Islamic Relief Bangladesh logo in all publication and visibility materials.
• Conceptualize, design, and execute major information campaigns.
• Build strong relationships with media outlets to showcase IR activities and maintain an updated media database.
• Use photos, videos, and text to engage both local and international audiences effectively.
• Raising Awareness and Support (10%)
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key journalists and broadcasters in the country.
• Support advocacy work and campaigns for Islamic Relief.
• Network with core media personnel and journalists to foster partnerships between the country office and media houses, supporting media and advocacy efforts.
• Liaise with government institutions, research organizations, academic institutions, like-minded organizations, and other NGOs to develop advocacy coalitions and represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh at campaigns and forums as needed.
• Identify communication and advocacy focal points within the organization and PNGOs, ensuring regular sharing of relevant updates.
• Additional Responsibilities (5%)
• Participate in seasonal program activities (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.).
• Travel frequently to remote project areas for extended periods.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of team members, preventing harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, fraud, bribery, and money laundering while implementing safeguarding measures.
• Act as a key support resource on safeguarding and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Adhere to the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy, responding as required.
• Perform additional tasks and project visits as assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
