Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Social Science (BSS), in Social Science

Masters, Master of Social Science (MSS), or any relevant subject.
Additional Requirements
- Basic understanding on marginalization, exclusion and inclusion.
- Basic understanding on human rights, rural development landscape/scenario in the context of Bangladesh.
- Good communication and facilitation skills.
- Good listening and speaking skill.
- Must be attentive and a good learner.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups, including families, children, and community stakeholders.
- Record-keeping and reporting skills in Bangla.
- Computer skills: Good skills in MS Office -word, and power-point, Bangla type and familiar with Internet.
- Motorcycle with a valid license is preferred but is not a must.
- Having a Smart Phone is a requirement for online data input, when required.
Responsibilities & Context
Project Title:
Meaningful Participation of Youth with Disabilities (including Youth Affected by Leprosy), Aged 12–25
Project Aim:
To empower youth with disabilities, including those affected by leprosy (aged 12–25), enabling them to use their voices for meaningful participation in their communities in Bangladesh.
Job Overview:
The CBR Facilitator will work directly with youth in the community, supporting meaningful participation of youth with disabilities, including those affected by leprosy. Responsibilities include facilitating trainings, workshops, and sessions, engaging local actors and community stakeholders to promote inclusion, building relationships with the families of youth, documenting success stories, and advocating for safe, inclusive spaces to combat stigma and discrimination.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify youth with disabilities and those affected by leprosy in the community, as per project requirements.

Support the formation and ongoing activities of youth groups in coordination with community stakeholders.

Organize and facilitate youth club meetings, ensuring active participation and engagement.

Conduct community-based sessions and workshops based on pre-designed training modules.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment during all sessions.

Prepare structured outlines and event reports for each youth club session and meeting.

Independently plan and conduct community meetings, workshops, and courtyard gatherings.

Coordinate closely with the CBR Officer and relevant staff for efficient project implementation.

Build strong relationships with families of the participating youth through regular home visits and meaningful interaction.

Understand the challenges faced by youth due to disability or leprosy and support them in identifying strategies for meaningful participation.

Collect community feedback and document impact in the prescribed format.

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports.

Ensure the safety and protection of all youth team members from harm, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.

Uphold safeguarding policies, the organization’s code of conduct, and data privacy protocols.

Build effective networks and maintain collaboration with Union Councils and sub-district offices.

Advocate for the inclusion of youth with disabilities and youth affected by leprosy in local decision-making forums, such as Ward Meetings, Open Budget sessions, and Standing Committee meetings.

Foster strong relationships with health and leprosy-related service providers, including community clinics and leprosy corners.

Facilitate referrals to ensure access to health, education, and social services for youth with disabilities and leprosy.

Organize local-level workshops, orientations, and meetings to promote inclusion and increase accessibility for youth with disabilities and those affected by leprosy.
