• Implementation:
• Mobilize and engage with the community to select beneficiaries for the project.
• Build the capacity of selected beneficiaries by facilitating training sessions on homestead gardening, mentoring, and coaching to ensure successful project implementation.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions for target beneficiaries on various aspects of the project, ensuring active participation and practical application of learning.
• Assist in the distribution of inputs and transfer of assets to beneficiaries, ensuring the process is documented and effectively executed.
• Liaison:
• Maintain strong coordination and liaison with local authorities, stakeholders, and camp management (CiC, Government, NGOs) to support community mobilization efforts.
• Represent the project and Cordaid in external meetings and events, ensuring the organization’s objectives are effectively communicated.
• Organize and assist in events that observe key International Days, ensuring community participation and awareness on important topics.
• Identify and locate resources and services from internal and external sources that can benefit the participants.
• Training & Capacity Building:
• Facilitate technical training for targeted community groups, focusing on essential skills such as project management, resilience building, and awareness training.
• Manage community communication and the mobilization of beneficiaries for selection and validation processes.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions, group meetings, and workshops, ensuring that beneficiaries are well-informed and empowered.
• Co-facilitate skill development training, ensuring participants gain practical skills that will aid their development.
• Plan and document the logistics for asset transfers and input distributions, ensuring that all activities are completed efficiently.
• Compliance:
• Uphold and adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct and policies, ensuring all activities comply with ethical and procedural standards.
• Follow and ensure compliance with integrity policies from both Cordaid and donors.
• Implement and maintain safety and security policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project progress, providing timely updates to the donor and Cordaid management in line with organizational requirements.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports, plans, and other documentation as required by the project and donor.
• Maintain a risk register and address feedback from the donor and Cordaid’s Dhaka office, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Monitoring & Reporting:
• Regularly identify and address any challenges in the field and work with the community to find solutions.
• Report on project activities, milestones, and challenges according to donor and organizational requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of risk assessments, ensuring any potential risks are identified and mitigated in a timely manner.
• Other Duties:
• Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Officer-Implementation based on project needs.
• Qualifications & Skills:
• Proven experience in community mobilization and facilitation, preferably in development projects.
• Strong knowledge of homestead gardening and other livelihood activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse community groups.
• Experience in training and capacity-building activities, with the ability to deliver content effectively to various target groups.
• Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Proficient in documenting and reporting project progress, with strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to the organization's values, policies, and adherence to safety and ethical standards.
