Additional Requirements
- Experience in community nutrition, IYCF and/or care / support groups
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English is required
- Ability to understand and speaking in Rohingya dialect is desirable.
- Good knowledge on Rohingya refugee context is desirable & will be given preference female candidates.

Responsibilities & Context
Job Purpose:
The Community Nutrition Mobilizer will implement the nutrition and food security components of the PRM-funded project, ensuring quality service delivery, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders. The role involves working closely with Nutrition Site Supervisors and other project teams to ensure a collective, multi-sectoral impact on nutrition outcomes for program participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation:
- Mobilize volunteers and lead mothers within the target community to support Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) initiatives.
- Conduct training for volunteers on MIYCN, the Support Group approach, and activities aimed at pregnant and lactating women and their spouses.
- Engage in the selection process for program participants, ensuring fairness and full coverage of the targeted areas.
- Form Support Groups and other participant groups according to project design, ensuring 100% coverage.
- Ensure proper selection of participants for homestead garden activities.
- Distribute materials and inputs to beneficiaries and promote their proper use to meet project objectives.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to volunteers to maintain high-quality service delivery and accountability.
- Offer technical support and hands-on training to volunteers as needed.
Coordination:
- Liaise with government authorities at the camp level, ensuring coordination and collaboration, and supporting project startup and progress-sharing workshops.
- Work with other project field teams within SHED to ensure smooth operations and mutual support between different projects.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Assist the MEAL team in creating a comprehensive database of project participants.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share progress updates and lessons learned.
- Ensure the project’s feedback mechanism is operational, facilitating accountability to both staff and beneficiaries.
Reporting:
- Provide weekly updates on field activities to the Project Officer.
- Assist in preparing monthly statistical and event reports.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or their designated representative.
Accountability:
- Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation throughout the project cycle (planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation).
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional, accessible, and that feedback and complaints are addressed promptly.
- Work to ensure information about CRM, safeguarding, and expected staff behavior is communicated to program participants and the community.
