Additional Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)/ Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)/ Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE)/ Information and Communication Technology (ICT)/ Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering (EECE) from any reputed university of Bangladesh.
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS):
  • Proficiency in major RDBMS platforms: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or CouchDB (if relevant).
  • Database Design & Architecture:
  • Expertise in database design, modeling, normalization, and schema creation.
  • Ability to design highly available and scalable database architectures.
  • Experience with database partitioning, clustering, and sharding for enhanced performance.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization:
  • Skilled in query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Oracle AWR, SQL Profiler, or SolarWinds Database Performance Monitor.
  • Experience in database caching, replication, and load balancing techniques.
  • Backup & Recovery:
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery.
  • Experience with tools like RMAN, Data Guard, Veeam, or Commvault.
  • Implementation of high-availability solutions such as clustering, mirroring, and failover mechanisms.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Proficient in managing database security, including user permissions and roles.
  • Implementation of encryption, access controls, and auditing for data protection.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Scripting & Automation:
  • Expertise in writing scripts for automation using SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, or languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for database configuration.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance:
  • Skilled in database monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, SQL Monitor, or pgAdmin.
  • Experience with capacity planning, storage management, and maintenance tasks.
  • Data Migration & ETL:
  • Hands-on experience in data migration projects including upgrades and platform transitions.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Pentaho.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and implementing robust solutions for database outages.

  • Relevant certifications:
  • Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • MCSA: SQL Server
  • MongoDB Certified DBA
  • AWS Certified Database - Specialty
