  • Bachelor/Honors, Computer Engineering (CSE), Oracle DBA Certification is required.

Additional Requirements


  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in CSE, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent from a reputed local or foreign university.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with hands-on experience on version 11g/12c/19c and Oracle DBA Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture and internals, including Container, RAC, and Active Data Guard.
  • Proficient in PL/SQL programming with experience in SQL tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with RMAN for backup/recovery operations and tools like Grid Control is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with ER diagrams/tools.
  • Hands-on experience managing high-volume databases of 5 to 10TB.
  • Good understanding of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, storage, and network.
  • Experience in mission-critical database maintenance, including index and statistics maintenance, data file management, capacity planning, detecting corrupt pages, integrity checks, and cluster service maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of performance improvement features like indexing, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
  • Positive attitude, keen attention to detail, and ability to present ideas in non-technical language.
  • Capability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Install, configure, patch, troubleshoot, and monitor Oracle/SQL Server databases.
  • Optimize SQL queries to enhance performance.
  • Implement security measures to ensure data security, integrity, and availability.
  • Automate administrative tasks using jobs, shell scripts, SQL, and schedulers.
  • Analyze the impact of database changes on business needs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex ETL processes from multiple data sources.
  • Ensure high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and database continuity plans.
  • Advise and oversee database design, development, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers on database support and SQL optimization.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues across application, network, server, and storage tiers.
  • Perform regular backups, health checks, and ensure successful database restores.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for database access and usage issues.
