• Collaborates closely with system administration teams, as Oracle databases often run alongside other applications and tools.
• Continuously tunes database instances for optimal performance.
• Installs new versions of Oracle RDBMS, related tools, and other Oracle-accessing tools.
• Plans and executes Oracle database backup and recovery.
• Manages migrations of programs, database changes, reference data, and menu updates throughout the development lifecycle.
• Enforces security protocols for all Oracle databases.
• Performs database reorganizations to enhance performance and maximize uptime.
• Establishes standards to ensure application design and code integrity, security, and performance.
• Regularly reviews design and code to ensure adherence to site standards.
• Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages, and procedures.
• Designs databases to align with end users' information needs and perspectives.
• Defines user roles and enables data distribution to the appropriate users in a timely manner.
