Additional Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong academic record with both an LL.B. and LL.M. degree from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Membership: Must be enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of extensive experience in Dispute Resolution, including at least 5 years of direct experience in handling land-related matters.
  • Area of Expertise: Demonstrated experience in conducting and managing cases before the Labour Court, District Court, and High Court. Practical expertise in the following areas is essential:
    • Fundamental Rights, Judicial Review, and Writ Matters
    • Financial Crimes and Negligence
    • Labour and Employment Disputes
    • Real Estate, Land, and Property Litigation
    • Banking and Finance Litigation

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities with an ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in modern technology and legal research tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior professionals, particularly those aged 50 years and above, will receive preference.
  • Retired Judges are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given special consideration.

We are seeking applications from accomplished and experienced legal professionals for the position of Department Head – Dispute Resolution. Based at our Headquarters in Banani, Dhaka, this senior leadership role is primarily desk-based and requires exceptional legal expertise, strong managerial capabilities, and extensive experience in dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the overall operations, performance, and case management activities of the Dispute Resolution Department.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on dispute resolution matters.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage associates, legal executives, and paralegals to ensure high standards of professional practice.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted legal advisor and delivering outstanding client service.
  • Ensure effective departmental coordination, case progress monitoring, and compliance with professional and organizational standards.
  • Handle court appearances only when necessary, as the role is predominantly advisory and management-focused.

Working Hours

  • Sunday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
