  • Bachelor's or Master's in English, Public Administration, International Relations, or any other related discipline from reputed public/private universities.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Administrative experience, preferably in health service operations management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Capable of drafting letters both in Bangla and English and computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Frequent traveling is required.

Responsibilities & Context

The incumbent will primarily be responsible for Clinic License Management and Asset Management will directly report to General Manager, Operations.

Clinic License Management:
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities such as DGHS, Fire, Environment, and other relevant entities for obtaining necessary licenses and approvals.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to address any licensing inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant clinic licensing requirements and regulations.
  • Monitor license renewal deadlines and ensure timely submission of necessary documentation by the clinic.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all licensing documentation and correspondence.
  • Provide regular updates on the licensing status to management, as needed.
Asset Management:
  • Implement asset management strategies to maximize the value and utilization of assets under the guidance of the General Manager of Operations.
  • Regularly update the asset list by tracking and approving replacement or disposal plans for the designated region.
  • Conduct asset inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and potential improvements at the central warehouse.
  • Maintain detailed records of all assets moving to and from the clinic.
  • Monitor asset performance and track key metrics to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the GM Operations.

Surjer Hashi Network (SHN) has been operating a large number of clinics all over the country providing health and family planning services primarily to the low-income group and the ultra-poor people. The network’s mission is to deliver high quality and affordable health services to all. SHN is providing maternal and child healthcare primarily to the poor, the poorest of the poor (PoP) and the lower-middle income groups, who cannot afford quality health services from the private healthcare facilities. The network aims to continue bridging this gap.

Initiated in 1997 and funded by USAID, Surjer Hashi Clinics continued to serve the poor for about two decades through several NGOs, who managed the clinics until 2018. The clinics were later consolidated and registered as Surjer Hashi Network in 2018 as a not-for-profit company with a vision to provide health services to all Bangladeshis. The organization has an explicit mandate of achieving a double bottom line i.e. health impact by providing quality health services to the low-middle income group and meeting financial sustainability goals.
