  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), preferably in Accounting or Finance.

  • Expertise in creating, managing, and monitoring budgets and financial obligations for NGO programs.
  • Experience in partnership and grants management.
  • Preferred background in Development, Social Rights, Human Rights, or Gender Rights.
  • Comfortable using technology such as Teams, Skype, and Google Sheets for liaising with international partners and donors.
  • Poficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
  • Capability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills (internal and external).
  • Adaptability to work collaboratively within a team and adjust as needed.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in accounting, budget management, and tracking financial compliance for programs/projects, grants management, including internal processes, NGO Bureau requirements, and donor regulations.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Budgeting & Financial Management:
  • Assist in preparing and managing the SELP annual budget, including forecasts, donor budgets, and financial reports, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and timelines.
  • Monitor budgets, identify shortfalls or surpluses, and provide timely updates to SELP management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for donors and sub-grantees.
  • Financial Coordination & Compliance:
  • Serve as the primary liaison with BRAC’s Finance, Accounts, and Grants departments, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with financial policies.
  • Facilitate high-quality financial reporting from field offices and sub-grantees, ensuring timely submission of donor reports.
  • Address financial issues raised during audits and monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with BRAC’s policies.
  • Contract & Procurement Oversight:
  • Support the oversight of external contracts, MoUs, and agreements, ensuring timely updates and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Admin Officer on procurement, transport, and maintenance needs, contributing to the annual procurement plan.
  • Strategic & Administrative Support:
  • Participate in internal meetings on strategy, budget, and audits, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure team safety and adherence to safeguarding policies, facilitating staff capacity-building on financial procedures and safeguarding standards.
  • Safeguarding Responsibilities
  • Ensure the protection of programme participants, staff, and stakeholders from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
  • Act as a key resource for safeguarding support, guidance, and expertise to foster a safe working environment.
  • Promote and enforce safeguarding policies among team members, ensuring compliance in all actions.
  • Adhere to the safeguarding reporting procedure in the event of any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same.
