Responsibilities & Context

  • Lead and manage buyer relationships independently for all merchandising activities, including product development, instant price quotations, negotiations, and sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the sample team to ensure that samples are accurate, consistent, and correct on the first attempt.
  • Facilitate effective communication with customers and suppliers regarding day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
  • Establish priorities, develop work schedules, and monitor progress toward goals, while tracking details, data, information, and activities.
  • Engage in cost analysis and price negotiations with customers and vendors, preparing detailed costing sheets with all necessary breakdowns from factories.
  • Take a leading role in long-term planning, including initiatives aimed at achieving operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while ensuring smooth merchandising operations.
