  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg), in EEE/Mechanical from reputed institution.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • A total of 6–7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) power generation facility (preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience in power plant operations, specifically in shift-based operational roles.

  • Candidates must be no more than 35 years of age.

  • Possesses strong decision-making ability, sound judgment, and a high level of alertness and responsibility.

  • Able to perform effectively in high-pressure and demanding operational environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in both spoken and written English.


Responsibilities & Context

  • Comply fully with all plant safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, consistently promoting a zero-injury workplace.

  • Operate, monitor, and control plant processes and electrical distribution systems using the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other process control interfaces. Responsibilities include monitoring, inspection, and data logging of systems including, but not limited to:

    • Gas Turbines (Unit 1 & 2)

    • Hydraulic Oil Systems

    • Lubrication Oil and Air Intake Systems

    • Compressor Systems

    • Gas Turbine Transformers (including oil temperature, coil temperature, and forced cooling systems)

    • Unit Transformers

    • Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG 1 & 2)

    • Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Systems

  • Monitor the operational performance of power block equipment during assigned shifts and take timely corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety, efficiency, environmental, and administrative standards.

  • Schedule and manage work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for faulty equipment, as well as predictive, preventive, breakdown maintenance, and plant modifications.

  • Conduct boiler water quality testing and implement necessary process adjustments; safely handle and manage chemicals as required.

  • Identify equipment abnormalities and clearly communicate findings to the maintenance team to facilitate prompt corrective action.

  • Participate in plant training, certification, and qualification programs to maintain technical competency.

  • Develop subject-matter expertise in assigned plant systems, prepare and update operating procedures, and act as a technical resource for colleagues.

  • Perform and support maintenance activities while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and the surrounding community.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot operational, maintenance, and environmental issues, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operation.

  • Collaborate effectively with fellow operations personnel to achieve safe, reliable, and optimal plant performance.

  • Develop, implement, and adhere to best-practice operating procedures to maximize plant safety, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in gas turbines, steam turbines, water treatment systems, high-pressure boilers, cooling water systems, and electrical equipment operations.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including equipment, control rooms, field operation buildings, and overall plant premises.

  • Provide leadership and coordination during critical repairs, maintenance activities, and special projects.

  • Support emergency response and recovery efforts during unplanned or emergency plant situations.

  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while working within plant areas.

  • Adhere to all company policies, rules, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

  • Actively participate in and contribute to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.
