  • Strong knowledge of Tajima DGML by Pulse/Wilcom embroidery software, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Proficient in chenille, reversible sequins, cording, and other embroidery designs.
  • Capable of executing various types of embroidery techniques, including 3D puff, flat, and appliqué.
  • Understanding of embroidery processes and procedures for using embroidery accessories.
  • Ability to create embroidery templates and position designs using Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities & Context

Akh Knitting & Dyeing Ltd. (AKDL) is a 100% export-oriented knit composite factory located in Hemayetpur, Savar, Dhaka, and is a sister concern of the AKH Group. We are seeking a qualified and skilled Designer (Embroidery).

  • Create and develop original embroidery designs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and preferences.
  • Use specialized embroidery software to digitize designs.
  • Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and needles for each project.
  • Operate and maintain embroidery machines.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of embroidered pieces.
  • Stay updated on current trends and techniques in embroidery.
  • Customize and personalize designs to meet specific customer requests.
  • Work closely with other designers and production staff.
  • Prepare sketches and sample patterns for approval.
  • Review and test designs for feasibility and durability.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adjust and refine designs based on feedback.
  • Keep detailed records of designs and production processes.
