• Analyze competitor offerings, consumer preferences, and industry developments to inform design decisions.
• Seasonal Collection Creation:
• Create and conceptualize seasonal collections that reflect the brand’s identity, appeal to target consumers, and meet market trends.
• Ensure designs are on-brand, forward-thinking, and adaptable to different market segments.
• Design Development:
• Prepare detailed artwork sketches, digital designs, and prototypes for clothing and accessory items.
• Utilize design software and tools to produce high-quality visual representations of ideas.
• Fabric & Material Selection:
• Choose appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories for designs, ensuring the right balance between quality, aesthetics, and cost efficiency.
• Stay updated on fabric innovations and work with suppliers to source materials that meet design specifications.
• Product Design & Development:
• Oversee the product design and development process from initial concept to final prototype.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards, ensuring the designs are cost-effective to produce.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other teams, including merchandising, marketing, and production, to ensure designs align with business goals and consumer needs.
• Collect feedback from relevant stakeholders, integrate revisions, and enhance design outcomes.
• Trend Forecasting:
• Monitor global fashion trends and anticipate future design needs, ensuring the collection reflects current consumer preferences while staying innovative and ahead of the curve.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain thorough records of design concepts, materials, and project timelines.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design concepts, market analysis, and progress to senior management.
