Responsibilities & Context

A Divisional Sales Manager (DSM) is a senior sales professional responsible for managing sales operations, achieving targets, and leading teams across a designated geographic division. This role focuses on developing regional strategies, strengthening distribution networks, and guiding field teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target Achievement: Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (both primary and secondary) are met or exceeded
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute divisional sales strategies, including market coverage plans to expand market share
  • Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate sales teams (Sales Officers, TSOs, ASMs) to maximize performance
  • Distribution Management: Build, manage, and expand distributor networks, ensuring product availability and profitability
  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Track competitor activities, analyze market trends, and prepare regular reports on sales, pricing, and expenses
  • Field Operations: Conduct frequent field visits to monitor activities, provide direction, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
