Responsibilities & Context

  • Assist in preparing the monthly production plan for the rolling module and ensure adherence.
  • Ensure production yield meets the schedule and address any issues for prompt resolution.
  • Supervise production processes across unit channels (heating, grooving, diameter reduction, cooling, etc.).
  • Oversee mill settings, including furnace temperature, grooving, OWS parameters, and stock sizes as required.
  • Monitor production to ensure final products meet quality standards.
  • Ensure sufficient manpower availability for each shift.
  • Assist in minimizing operational and process breakdowns.
  • Execute shutdown tasks as needed.
  • Create and review ERP and OPM production batches, managing required data sets to minimize miss rolls.
  • Escalate production issues within the designated scope.
  • Prepare shift-wise production-related MIS reports.
  • Monitor and enforce safety guidelines and procedures in the workplace.
  • Plan and procure spares by raising purchase requisitions (PRs).
  • Manage and maintain CNC roll turning, CNC notching, lathe machines, surface grinders, shapers, drills, and other workshop equipment.
