• Financial Oversight & Daily Operations:
• Monitor the day-to-day financial activities of the accounting team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks among team members, ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.
• Policy Development & Compliance:
• Design and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with relevant financial frameworks and company objectives.
• Ensure strict compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and update monthly financial statements, including Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial and management reports to the management for strategic decision-making.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis processes to support business planning.
• Cash Flow & Fund Management:
• Conduct cash flow analysis and ensure optimal fund utilization across business units.
• Manage company liquidity and ensure appropriate planning for payments, investments, and credit control. 
• Accounts Receivable & Credit Monitoring:
• Supervise and monitor the realization of accounts receivables, ensuring collections are made within agreed timelines.  
• Work closely with sales, operations, and credit control teams to manage outstanding dues and reduce bad debts.
• Taxation, Customs & Regulatory Liaison:
• Manage matters related to customs, port, taxation, and regulatory bodies for both local and foreign entities.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of related documentation.
• Audit & Internal Controls:
• Conduct monthly audits of financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate periodic audits and implement recommendations.
• Budgeting for Agencies & Principals:
• Prepare annual budgets and financial plans for agency and principal operations, aligned with business goals.
• Software & Systems Management:
• Implement and maintain the company’s accounting software system, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting in line with company policy.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team by providing ongoing training, support, and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the department.
• Legal & Corporate Affairs:
• Handle legal and financial matters related to vessel operations and agency-related issues, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
