Environmental Management, Chemical Management, and Compliance & Sustainability expertise.
Strong knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Hands‑on experience in compliance‑related activities.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Develop, update, and implement Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.
Ensure safe chemical storage, proper labeling, secondary containment, and safe handling practices.
Monitor and ensure environmental and chemical compliance in all internal operations in line with Garments/Textile industry codes of practice.
Ensure compliance with environmental health and chemical safety requirements, including collection of MSDS/CSDS, compliance certificates, and guarantee letters from chemical suppliers.
Conduct energy audits and implement energy management plans.
Perform internal environmental and chemical audits in accordance with buyer Codes of Conduct to identify non‑conformities and improvement areas, and follow up corrective actions with department heads.
Monitor and evaluate environmental parameters as per DOE standards, ECR‑1997, and buyer COC, and ensure implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAP) where required.
Monitor and manage water consumption plans.
Review and analyze MSDS, including CAS numbers, GHS pictograms, and cross‑check chemicals against ZDHC MRSL, ensuring exclusion of all 11 priority banned and restricted chemical groups.
Conduct risk assessments, root cause analyses, and prepare corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
Ensure proper MSDS availability and chemical labeling in chemical stores, sub‑stores, and all applicable areas.
Deliver training programs on chemical handling, storage, and environmental compliance to relevant employees.
Implement and maintain EMS and Chemical Management Plans (CMP).
Support HR, Administration, and Compliance functions as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
