• Identify critical paths, conduct time studies (cycle timing), capacity studies, and method analysis of operations, including operation breakdowns.
• Prepare operation bulletins (OB), calculate SAM (Standard Allowed Minute), and handle line setup, machine layouts, and workstation layouts.
• Ensure the reduction of non-productive time (NPT), record lost time, and report it. Calculate efficiency and analyze problems to improve productivity.
• Enhance bottleneck operation capacity.
• Perform daily manpower balancing, set targets, and monitor achievements.
• Recommend new ideas and methods to increase productivity and improve quality.
• Oversee the movement of operations and assist floor staff in creating effective line layouts based on the operation bulletin to improve line balancing and ensure a smooth workflow.
• Manage line balancing and control work-in-progress (WIP).
• Assess the skills of new operators and conduct periodic skill assessments.
• Perform performance ratings, develop and maintain a skill matrix, and calculate thread consumption.
• Generate lost time and non-productive time reports, and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production. Set operator-wise targets.
• Monitor hourly performance and lost time.
• Continuously recommend new ideas and methods to increase productivity and improve quality.
• Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by management.
