• Operation Bulletin & Process Re-engineering:
• Develop and re-engineer the Operation Bulletin to enhance sewing line productivity.
• Ensure updated, accurate bulletins are implemented to drive operational efficiency.
• Performance Analysis & Line Efficiency:
• Measure and monitor line efficiency, line performance, changeover effectiveness, and overall capacity.
• Conduct motion studies and evaluate machine breakdowns to identify areas for improvement and ensure smooth production flow.
• Skill Assessment & Training:
• Conduct skill assessments of new operators and identify their training needs.
• Ensure discipline is maintained on the production floor and oversee the continuous development of operator skills to maintain high-quality standards.
• Resource Utilization & Productivity Improvement:
• Ensure the optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and methods.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies, such as Kaizen, to reduce inefficiencies and improve operational processes.
• Analyze productivity data and suggest corrective actions for productivity enhancement.
• Cost Reduction & Waste Management:
• Identify areas of waste and inefficiency across the sewing process and implement strategies for cost reduction.
• Reduce all types of wastages (e.g., material, time, energy) to improve profitability.
• Workforce Management & Manpower Projections:
• Prepare monthly projections of manpower requirements and track turnover rates.
• Ensure that the production team is adequately staffed, and schedules are adhered to for on-time delivery.
• SMV & Efficiency Calculation:
• Calculate Standard Minute Value (SMV) for each product and line.
• Assign realistic targets based on factory capacity, SMV, and productivity goals.
• Production Scheduling & Monitoring:
• Monitor and track the production schedule to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the production process to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Key Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, particularly in sewing and production line management.
• Experience in implementing Kaizen and other productivity improvement techniques.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports related to productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvements.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and manage production staff.
• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling tools, with a solid understanding of SMV calculations.
