Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure pre-production activities, such as the 3P checklist, critical process training, and critical machine setup.
  • Maintain proper line balancing and capacity.
  • Create paper and visual layouts three days prior to the line setup.
  • Develop capacity graphs and ensure they are balanced correctly to meet planned line capacity.
  • Identify bottleneck points and eliminate them through motion study, method study, capacity study, and workplace arrangement.
  • Evaluate the skills of new operators and conduct interviews.
  • Focus on automation and innovation to promote work simplification and reduce Standard Minute Values (SMV).
  • Reduce Cost of Transition (COT) according to target plans and lead the team to achieve COT goals.
  • Work to minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT) in all surrounding areas.
  • Optimize the utilization of personnel, machinery, and materials, and reduce costs using industrial engineering tools.
  • Develop the skills of operators and supervisors, ensuring a skill matrix is in place for each operator.
  • Identify training needs for employees and arrange training for supervisors and line staff.
