Additional Requirements


  • Must have a foundational understanding of fabric manufacturing, shade evaluation, and the testing and inspection processes.
  • Must be familiar with various washing and dyeing methods.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Bengali is essential.
  • Must possess adequate computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Must be prepared to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work long hours on the factory premises on a daily basis is required.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure the inspection of fabrics, trims, and accessories according to buyer requirements.
  • Oversee the fabric inspection process, including checking for shade consistency, shrinkage, skewness, and fabric weight, and follow up on wash blanket evaluations, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintain documentation of washed blankets, fabric defect swatches, shade cards, and shrinkage panels for supplier accountability.
  • Analyze daily cutting issues and report them to the supervisor for resolution.
  • Follow up on shade swatch card and shade band approvals with the wash team.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining good housekeeping practices and keeping documentation related to compliance and technical audits.
  • Monitor daily fabric cutting requirements.
  • Cross-check all reports generated by the fabric team for accuracy.
  • Ensure 100% inspection of garments after receiving them from washing, checking for shade and effect (dry-wet), and take responsibility for any issues related to shade.
  • Conduct data analysis, including fabric mill scorecards and Pareto analysis.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
