Establish microbiological standards for raw materials, process water, and finished products, including sterility testing of parenteral preparations in accordance with pharmacopoeial requirements. Develop appropriate procedures for all microbiological analyses.

Define microbiological standards for production facilities, environmental conditions, water systems, microbiology laboratories, and testing booths.

Ensure proper sample collection in accordance with Good Sampling Practices (GSP) and conduct microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products, including liquids, creams, ointments, and parenteral preparations.

Assess the potency of antibiotics in raw materials and finished products as required.

Coordinate and conduct environmental monitoring programs, including reviewing monitoring records, investigating alert and action level excursions, and implementing necessary corrective measures.

Perform routine microbiological testing of purified water, treated water, and potable water at designated points of use according to established schedules.

Evaluate visible and subvisible particulate matter in sterile products.
