Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Executive / Sr. Executive – Marketing & Merchandising (Knit Garments) to independently manage buyer communication, order execution, production coordination, and shipment processes from product development to final delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong merchandising expertise, sourcing knowledge, and the ability to ensure on-time shipment with required quality standards.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Buyer Communication & Order Management
- Communicate regularly with customers/buyers regarding order processing from development to shipment
- Independently manage orders and provide daily updates to buyers and management
- Follow up with buyers regarding:
- Price approvals
- Samples
- Capacity booking
- Production approvals
- Shipment schedules
🔹 Production & Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, production, and commercial teams to ensure timely shipment execution
- Monitor production progress and ensure shipment deadlines are achieved
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure 100% quality compliance as per buyer requirements
🔹 Costing & Negotiation
- Prepare cost calculations and pricing analysis for garments and production
- Negotiate prices and order terms with customers/buyers professionally
- Support management in maintaining profitability and cost efficiency
🔹 Sample Development & Approval
- Prepare and manage all production-related samples including:
- PP Sample
- Size Set Sample
- Shipment Sample
- Ensure sample submission within buyer deadlines and approval timelines
🔹 Sourcing & Procurement Coordination
- Follow up with procurement teams to ensure timely in-house availability of:
- Yarn
- Fabrics
- Accessories
- Trims
- Coordinate sourcing from both local and international suppliers for production and sampling needs
🔹 Vendor & Product Development
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor and outsourcing network for product development
- Support profit-oriented merchandising and marketing strategies
- Coordinate product development activities based on buyer trends and market demands
🔹 Planning, T&A & Production Monitoring
- Prepare and maintain T&A (Time & Action) plans to ensure on-time shipment (OTS)
- Coordinate with IE and planning departments for production scheduling and capacity management
- Monitor production processes, material inventory, and quality standards
- Track operation breakdowns and SMV (Standard Minute Value) analysis for production efficiency
🔹 Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with management and internal departments regarding merchandising operations
- Advise and support management on merchandising-related issues for effective problem-solving
- Maintain historical production records and operational reports for future planning and style changes
