Responsibilities & Context

  • Environmental & Technical Certifications: Ensure compliance and assurance for environmental and technical certifications, including ISO 14001:2015, 45001, 9001, Oeko-Tex 100 & Step, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RDS, etc.
  • Sustainability Expertise: Proficient in HIGG-FEM 4.0, with experience in GRI report writing and H&M NSR (Environment) activities.
  • Sustainability Program Management: Drive H&M sustainability (Environment) SRM demands, manage C&A SCM programs, and monitor platforms such as the CDP portal, Clean Chain, BHive portal, and ZDHC Gateway portal.
  • Chemical Management: Oversee the Chemical Management System to ensure adherence to standards, secure RSL compliance, and conduct root cause analyses (RCA) based on RSL detection, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Resource Reduction Planning: Develop and implement long-term and short-term action plans for reducing resources such as water, energy/GHG emissions, chemicals, and waste. Continuously monitor progress to achieve targets.
  • Environment Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental standards at FAL premises, including proper chemical handling, conducting internal audits in chemical storage areas, verifying secondary containment, labeling, and MSDS availability.
  • Monthly Buyer Updates: Update monthly Chemical Inventory List (CIL) for H&M, Primark, and C&A buyers.
  • Training and Documentation: Conduct monthly training sessions on chemical management and related topics. Collect and maintain labels, MSDS, and guarantee letters for C&A, H&M, and Primark from suppliers.
