Responsibilities & Context

  • Accurately prepare and submit monthly VAT returns (Mushak 9.1) within deadlines
  • Maintain VAT registers, Mushak forms, and all related records
  • Compute and pay VAT, AIT, and other applicable statutory taxes
  • Prepare withholding tax (AIT) returns and issue certificates
  • Support the preparation and filing of annual income tax returns
  • Ensure full compliance with VAT and tax laws, rules, and SROs
  • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and NBR officials as needed
  • Assist during VAT and tax audits and inspections
  • Keep proper documentation for input VAT credits and adjustments
  • Contribute to tax planning for legal tax efficiency
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT and tax regulations
  • Prepare complete financial statements periodically or as required
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain and update the general ledger
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to the supervisor
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management
