Responsibilities & Context

  • Adopt the best industrial engineering practices across all areas to enhance productivity and optimize resource usage.
  • Incorporate individual customer needs and expectations into the plan, managing both internal and external capacity to fulfill orders. Estimate future workload, develop a strategic plan for execution, and provide necessary directives to the relevant departments.
  • Apply statistical methods to determine manufacturing processes, staffing requirements, and production standards.
  • Monitor the layout of equipment, materials, and workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer software.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, estimated production costs, and related information to gain a deep understanding of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, testing equipment, and engineering drawings, formulating corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and set quality and reliability objectives for the finished product.
  • Recommend methods to improve the optimization of personnel, materials, and utilities.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance activities in the workplace.
  • Promote a positive and responsive culture while ensuring the production schedule is met.
  • Evaluate staff performance, enforce floor discipline, identify training needs, and manage career development.
  • Drive cost reduction by minimizing all forms of waste.
