Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and follow up on pending matters related to land, legal affairs, recovery activities, and dispute resolution to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
  • Examine, verify, and maintain land-related documents, including sale deeds, title deeds, survey maps, khatians, dag records, mutation documents, land tax receipts, and ownership records.
  • Draft, issue, and coordinate legal notices, demand letters, and other legal correspondence on behalf of the organization as directed by management.
  • Prepare, review, and process various legal documents, agreements, contracts, petitions, affidavits, undertakings, and supporting papers required for business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, corporate policies, and contractual obligations while safeguarding the company's legal interests.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining legal documentation required for internal audits, external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Provide legal support and guidance to business units and departmental heads regarding operational, contractual, and employee-related legal matters.
  • Identify potential legal, regulatory, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate preventive or corrective actions to management.
  • Coordinate with lawyers, law chambers, government and semi-government authorities, regulatory agencies, law enforcement bodies, and other external stakeholders regarding legal and land-related matters.
  • Maintain proper records, documentation, and tracking systems for ongoing legal cases, agreements, notices, and recovery-related activities.
  • Monitor legal proceedings and ensure timely follow-up on court matters, hearings, documentation submissions, and case updates.
  • Support management in dispute management, contract negotiations, legal compliance initiatives, and corporate governance matters.
  • Prepare periodic reports on legal cases, recovery status, land documentation, and compliance activities for management review.
  • Perform any additional legal, compliance, land administration, or recovery-related responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
