  • Strong technical knowledge of fabric construction and types of knitting techniques.
  •  Strong technical knowledge and Quality Assurance processes for AOP, Dyeing, Fabric Finishing.
  • Technical knowledge and Quality Assurance processes for Front Prints.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication.
  • skills: Ability to analyze seasonal data, Ability to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to source and develop fabrics that align with the design vision, merchandising requirements, and corporate goals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive databank for yarn and fabric development, including technical recipes and sheets.
  • Update and manage the fabric library, creating and preserving fabric archives.
  • Build and maintain seasonal binders to record complete fabric classifications.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with all key cross-functional teams on fabric development and related issues.
  • Promote innovation by attending fabric shows, scheduling mill appointments for research, and presenting fabric trends to the cross-functional team.
  • Develop seasonal concept packages for various categories.
  • Work with the manager to troubleshoot and resolve any development or bulk production issues.
  • Become an expert in your categories and ensure preparedness for all meetings.
  • Proactively manage sample yardage delivery dates and troubleshoot any related issues.
  • Keep a detailed record of machinery and production capacities of yarn and fabric mills.
