Additional Requirements
- Age Requirement: 25 to 33 years.
- Industry Experience: Experience in Factory, Buying House, Garments, or Textile sectors, particularly in denim and woven categories.
- Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and meet tight deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in relevant software tools such as PLM and ERP systems.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of global textile markets and supply chains.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the fiber-to-fabric manufacturing process, testing, and inspection, with a focus on denim and woven fabrics, including fabric pricing.
- Team and Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage buyers, suppliers, and the merchandising team effectively.
Responsibilities & Context
Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving:
- Conduct root cause analysis for fabric-related issues from development to bulk production stages.
- Implement effective solutions to ensure consistent fabric quality throughout the process.
Production and Quality Monitoring:
- Follow up daily on production status, fabric tests, and bulk fabric inspection reports received from suppliers.
- Review and approve reports before shipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Quality Assurance for Fabric Cutting:
- Verify CSV/RLD for regular and special markers.
- Provide internal shade band approvals and check shrinkage and bowing reports to confirm fabric quality.
- Address and resolve any fabric-related defects during bulk production.
Customer Approvals:
- Coordinate with suppliers and buyers to arrange lab dip, FOB approvals, first bulk reviews, dye lots, test reports, and inspection approvals at each stage.
Cross-Department Communication:
- Maintain consistent communication with relevant departments to ensure alignment with buyer requirements and expectations.
Fabric Performance Optimization:
- Collaborate with the washing team to optimize fabric performance through wash programs.
- Ensure timely fabric approvals and shipments, maintaining open communication with customers for bulk lot approvals in garment form.
Certification and Test Management:
- Organize transaction certificates (e.g., GRS, GOTS, BCI, Lenzing) using customer platforms.
- Regularly update test reports (base, bulk, product tests) in the customer PLM system.
Supplier and Vendor Collaboration:
- Work with fabric mills to resolve issues, fostering mutually beneficial outcomes for suppliers and vendors.
Documentation and Management Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all activities.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
